Backgrounds and frames

The Appearance panel controls everything around the screen.

Backgrounds

Wallpaper: twelve generated wallpapers. Pick Drift, Bokeh, Waves or Dust to give one gentle motion.
Gradient: two colours and an angle.
Colour: a solid fill.
Image: your own picture, with optional blur.

Animated wallpapers move identically in the preview and in the export.

Choose Laptop, Monitor, Tablet, Phone or Browser to wrap the screen. The screen shrinks to leave room for the frame.

Padding, screen corner radius and shadow (classic or directional) shape how the screen sits on the background. Crop trims the recording itself.

Auto follows the recording. Or choose 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 4:5 or 21:9. Zooms and captions reframe for the new shape.

Choose an image, place it on a three-by-three grid and set its size and opacity. It is included in exports.

Save the current look as a named preset and reuse it on any project.
